Abbiamo intensificato i controlli su tutto il territorio nazionale. Chiedo a tutte le forze politiche di aver il massimo della responsabilità. Questo è il tempo in cui si deve stare insieme uniti. Nel pomeriggio incontrerò i capigruppo di tutte le forze politiche, anche di quelle di opposizione. “Caro Alessio Batini,

le dedico questo articolo perché sono rimasto molto colpito dalla Sua affermazione secondo la quale Lei nutre «un odio profondo verso il Pd». Non voglio minimamente entrare nel merito delle Sue ragioni per odiare il Pd, né cercare di convincerla del fatto, per me ovvio, che nessuna forza politica avversa, che però rispetti i limiti del gioco democratico, merita di essere odiata. Piuttosto, e questo invece mi sta a cuore, La invito a riflettere sul fatto che l’odio, verso il Pd, o la Juventus, una suocera, la pioggia di domenica, o cosa vuole Lei, è una passione triste, che spesso non serve neanche a chi la prova. Di certo, in politica, è una passione inutile. Nella fattispecie, facendo Lei parte della forza che attualmente governa questa città, è soprattutto una passione incomprensibile. In altre parole, mi chiedo perché usare le proprie energie per odiare una forza di opposizione quando invece sarebbe opportuno, e anche appagante, concentrare tutta la Sua passione nel governo della città. Capisco però che, data la stretta turnazione di sei mesi imposta dal Suo Movimento ai capogruppo, Lei cerchi di sfruttare il poco tempo a disposizione per farsi un po’ notare. Capisco anche il gusto per la boutade, quando, in data 24 settembre, ha affidato a Facebook la seguente analisi politica: «Bacci è come l’Erpes in un bordello….. in tutti i buchi ci vuole entrare…..». Non voglio entrare nel merito dell’ardita similitudine venerea, che ognuno potrà giudicare con il metro del gusto che ha avuto in sorte. Mi limito invece a due considerazioni marginali, ancorché linguistiche, che esulano dallo specifico politico, ma che, cionondimeno, ritengo fondamentali: più per Lei che per il Pd, le cui sorti, le assicuro, non suscitano in me sentimenti così profondi quanto quelli che suscitano in Lei. La prima è che di puntini di sospensione ne bastano tre. Anche se sono gratis e quindi si può abbondare, non è spargendoli come i pinoli sul castagnaccio che una sentenza assume più potere evocativo. La seconda è che “Erpes” si scrive con la acca: Herpes. Questo lo dico perché la Sua parte politica mi è sembrata sempre molto sicura di sé sui temi della sanità, dell’utilità dei vaccini, delle cure alternative per il cancro etc. E così, insomma, essendo Lei chiamato a sostenere come capogruppo di maggioranza l’azione di governo in questa città anche su questioni relative a questi temi, potrebbe esserle utile, mentre ad esempio decide le sorti dell’ospedale di Livorno, imparare il lessico medico di base. Mi farebbe sentire più sicuro anche come cittadino che poi dovrà avere a che fare con i risultati delle Sue scelte. Nel salutarla allora, mi permetto di invitarla a non perdere tempo con «l’odio profondo». Anche perché, quando sarà vecchio, pensi che tristezza guardarsi indietro e scoprire che ha passato la vita a «odiare profondamente il Pd», un partito che magari allora non esisterà neanche più, come magari non esisterà più neanche il Movimento 5 Stelle. Pensi raccontarlo ai nipoti: «Cosa facevi da giovane, nonno?» «Odiavo il Pd». Si immagina? Provi invece ad appassionarsi a qualcosa di bello. Una cosa qualsiasi, scelga Lei. La Sua città, magari, per la quale adesso ricopre un incarico istituzionale che esige studio e concentrazione, e la cui immagine, agli occhi del mondo, dipende un pochino anche da Lei. Ami la dignità democratica del ruolo che ricopre e di cui dovrebbe sentire il peso, anche quando scrive su Facebook. In ogni caso, dia retta, ora non si metta a odiare anche me. Non ci perda tempo, davvero: il Suo sarebbe un odio impossibile e a senso unico. Io di certo non lo ricambio”.
